The budget board that reviews spending items for Oklahoma County’s board of commissioners wants the county to take back more than $25 million in federal coronavirus relief funds it originally transferred to its jail trust.

Oklahoma’s hospitalizations continue to surge, with ICU capacity dipping to zero in metro areas such as Tulsa.

The Norman City Council voted Tuesday to extend the city’s mask mandate as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the state. 

Many Oklahoma prisoners will spend more time in prison than they expected. The state’s Department of Corrections is ending a program designed to give prisoners time off for good behavior and for getting a jump on their next steps after prison.
