The white evangelical Protestant voting bloc has historically played an important role in elections in Oklahoma… since according to the Pew Research Center… about half of the state’s adult population identifies as evangelical Protestant.
Much of central and western Oklahoma remains under an ice Storm warning until 1 pm Wednesday. Officials with the National Weather Service said Tuesday that while temperatures are expected to continue slowly creeping above freezing later today and tomorrow, that doesn’t mean the immediate danger has passed. The Weather Service stresses the importance of being careful and aware when around any frozen branches. One final round of wintry precipitation is expected late tonight and through early tomorrow. But most of the state is forecast to be above freezing later tomorrow afternoon. Warmer weather and sunshine should then return by the weekend.
