U.S. Report On Spending In Afghanistan Classified For First Time
The latest quarterly report on U.S. spending in Afghanistan was released on Thursday. Conspicuously missing were figures on how more than $50 billion is being spent on training and equipping Afghan military and police forces. Those figures have been classified for the first time in years of such reporting and the general who ordered keeping them secret says it's to keep enemies from sharpening their attacks. Key senators disagree.

'Deflate This': Patriots Fans Welcome Super Bowl Champs Home
Thousands of people turned out to welcome the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots back to Boston on Wednesday. Fans braved cold temperatures and stood in piles of snow along the parade route. Some held up posters saying "Deflate This" in reference to allegations that the team had deflated game balls to gain an advantage in the playoff game that landed them in the Super Bowl. Team members waved to the crowd from duck boats as confetti flew.
