Nelson Grimmett

Nelson Grimmett, a valued member of the KCCU team, serves as our Radio Production Assistant. His main role is to provide public service announcements for KCCU and manage the station's radio program content.

Originally from West Virginia, Nelson joined the United States Army at 22, serving as a Unit Supply Specialist (92Y). After his military service, he spent over two decades in federal government roles, gaining extensive experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, resource planning, management, logistics, and office administration.

Nelson holds an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Science in Business from Cameron University. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing at Cameron University, set to graduate in May 2025. Following this, he plans to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Organizational Leadership through Cameron University.

An ordained minister with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ (ALJC), Nelson has been preaching the Gospel since 1997 and has served as the senior pastor of Great Plains Apostolic Church in Lawton since 2017. He is also a successful author with several books and audiobooks available on Amazon.com.

Outside of his professional life, Nelson enjoys reading, writing, coffee, and spending time with his two dogs, Jordi and Nimoy. Happily married to Amber, he is the proud father of two children, Elisabeth and Ethan. Nelson’s warm and personable nature makes him a cherished part of the KCCU family.
