Lawton Area Transit System Try Transit Week kicks off Monday April 24th.
The Try Transit Week will go till Saturday April 29th.
Tony Hansley, head of Marketing and Innovation says Try Transit Week is to get the public to try Lawton’s public transit system.
“So, for one it raises the awareness for our transit system, it lets the community know that hey there’s a lot of people that depend on transit, we have a lot of elderly, a lot of disabled individuals, a lot of students and staff from LPS, including Cameron students that ride our buses that use us as a way to get from their homes, to their jobs, to their schools, and doctors’ appointments.”
Throughout the week they’ll be giving away swag, food, and more.
On Saturday they’ll have their customer appreciation day which will have fun activities, cotton candy, hotdogs, bounce houses, and more.
To learn what they’re doing every day you can visit https://ridelats.com or go to their Facebook page.
