This week I bring you two interviews combined into one segment, featuring Cameron President Dr. Shane Hunt and Oklahoma's first Chief Artificial Intelligence and Technology Officer, Tai Phan.
We discuss CU's upcoming Academic Festival
XIII that starts Aug. 27th at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre with Tai Phan presenting his speech, Boldly Human: Why AI Needs More of Us, Not Less.
Cameron's Academic Festivals date back to 1991 and occur every 3 years covering a variety of topics — this year's theme is "Being Human in the Age of AI."
Festival XIII runs from Aug. 2026 through Mar. 2027.
Listen to the full interview above where Dr. Hunt explains the importance of these events and who helps make it possible on campus.
You hear from Tai Phan as he discusses what he hopes to accomplish with his topic for the festival and why it's a relevant discussion in Oklahoma right now, and necessary to better understand.
We invite everyone to come check out these incredible speakers and take advantage of these FREE opportunities to hear from six industry professionals with a variety of experience and perspectives.
