This week's community focus brought our listeners important information regarding summer eye safety, and protection from the harmful UV rays we are exposed to daily.
I had a zoom interview with Dr. Seth Geiger from Altus, and he shared some great information regarding the dangers of UV radiation to our eyes, how to properly protect your eyes and what to lookout for if you have suffered damage.

The biggest takeaway from my interview was that sunglasses should always be worn outside, even on cloudy/overcast days. Also, you should ensure your sunglasses are rated for UV400 or 100% coverage, to have the most protection.
