Award-winning Lawton educator, Kim Jones, talks about her newly published book, Weatlhy Blacks Before the Emancipation Proclomation of 1863. Kim works in the Lawton Public School system as a high school science teacher. She is the founder of several comminuty programs which include Attire to Aspire, The Red Tulip Projects, Scores and Doors, A Step Beyond the Tassel, and Teamwork Makes the Dream Work. She is the recipient of Oklahoma Education Association's Hunanitarian's Award and has received ten additional community service awards. 

Ms. Jones has her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science and a Master or Science degree in Educational Leadership from Cameron University.
