A federal judge ordered the release of a Muskogee man charged with participating in the storming of the U-S Capitol earlier this month. 

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is easing prison lockdowns across the state. Prisoners’ movements have been restricted since late November after more than 20 people were assaulted in gang fights at three male prisons.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed , state health officials are fairly  sure the new coronavirus variants have made it to Oklahoma.

Although Oklahoma is allowing its coronavirus vaccine phases to overlap, state officials have been hesitant to move forward into the priority groups in the program’s second phase. 

Legislation to direct a portion of future stimulus money to frontline workers has been filed for the 58th Legislative Session. House Bill 2455, authored by House Minority Leader Emily Virgin,  of Norman, requires that a portion of future dollars from any stimulus be paid to employees of businesses deemed essential during the pandemic.
