Oklahoma Terror Alert Level Lowered to Yellow

Oklahoma City, Ok. – After 30 days of being in the high orange level for the Oklahoma Terror Alert Advisory scale, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has followed the federal lead in dropping down one level to the elevated yellow step. Henry said he wanted to recognize the efforts of law enforcement and security personnel, as well as responders, to protect the state with its many armed forces members participating in Operation Iraqui Freedom.
Even though the level has been lowerd one step, the director of Oklahoma's Homeland Security Office, Bob Ricks,urged people to remain diligent in their awareness and report unusual activities or threats to the proper authorities.
