Duncan Goes to 4-day Work Week

Duncan, OK – The city of Duncan is going to a four-day work week for most city offices in an effort to save money.

During a six-month trial period city offices will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Police, firefighters and water plant employees are not included in the change.

Duncan Public Works Director Scott Vaughn says city officials looked at fuel costs from the week of July 4 and found the city saved at least $2,000 by having offices open for only four days.
