Underwriting
An important contribution to quality radio is made by foundations, corporations and individuals who provide funds to underwrite the presentation of a program or series of programs broadcast on KCCU.
Underwriting singles you out
Underwriting on KCCU places you, your product or service in a unique position by clearly separating your name from the clutter inherent in commercial advertising. Just as you, the underwriter, support Your Public Radio Station, KCCU's loyal listeners will support you. 88% of NPR listeners say their opinion of a company is more positive when they discover the company supports public radio, and 95% take direct action as a result of sponsorship.
You can reach a specific target audience
KCCU offers you the chance to contribute to one or more of our various funds, allowing you the freedom to select the programing that will most economically reach your segment of the market. When asked to name companies that support NPR, 51% of listeners recall at least one.
Underwriting identifies your company as socially aware
An association with KCCU, with its long-standing reputation for social responsibility, identifies your company as a civic and community-minded organization with an interest in the public that goes beyond simply selling a product or service. Likewise, public radio listeners are 40% more likely to belong to a charitable organization and 38% more likely to work in local government.
Why Underwrite?
Underwriting is a way for you to make a charitable contribution to KCCU, while also strengthening your public relations efforts. KCCU recognizes your tax-deductible contribution with on-air announcements during the program(s) you wish to sponsor. Underwriting spots identify:
• Your company name
• Product or services you provide
• Your company's location / contact information
Through our personalized approach of individually negotiated contracts, tailored to each client's unique needs, underwriting can be the most cost-effective way to enhance your marketing plan and give a special gift to our communities-- the gift of quality classical music, jazz, and National Public Radio news and entertainment programming.
