Every small town has some point of pride – something about the town that sets it apart from others. In Archer City, Texas, that honor falls to Booked Up, one of the country’s largest independent bookstores. Run by Archer City native and Pulitzer Prize winner Larry McMurtry, the store brings visitors from across the globe to the town. But an auction of much of the store’s stock means changes for the business and for Archer City. Clinton Wieden follows the ups and downs in the KCCU News report, "Clearing the Books."
