Applications Accepted Until March 1 for CU Scholarships

Lawton, Ok. – Cameron University President's Partners, about 200 area individual and business partners providing annual financial support for university projects, are funding 132 scholarships for first-time freshmen entering Cameron for the Fall 2003 semester. Sixty of the scholarships are to be presented by staff recruiters, 72 are to be distributed by faculty, according to discipline.
To qualify, students must take at least 12 credit hours a semester, with at least a 3.0 high school grade point average to be eligible. Preference is to be given to students who are not eligible for other scholarships or tuition waivers. The total scholarship award will be $800 to be divided, half for the fall semester, half for the spring, in the form of $200 cash, and $200 tuition waiver each semester.
