News Director, All Things Considered Host

Clinton Wieden joined the KCCU team as News Director in April 2012, coming to Lawton from KRPS-FM in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he was a features producer and the local host for Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Clinton is a native of northwest Oklahoma and an alumnus of Oklahoma State University, holding both a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & Broadcasting (with a minor in Geography) and a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications from OSU. While in college, Clinton worked as a student reporter at KOSU-FM; as a DJ for KXZY Cable Radio, the university’s student-run station; as a sports columnist for the Daily O’Collegian, the student newspaper; and as a public address announcer for OSU athletics, working primarily with women’s soccer and softball.

Clinton has been involved with music for most of his life. He continues to play the saxophone when the opportunity arises, and also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Band Alumni Chapter of the OSU Alumni Association. Clinton is interested in history, politics, and pop culture, and has a passion for useless trivia. He is also an avid sports fan, and is returning to the ranks of avid readers.
