Campaign 60-60

CAMPAIGN 60 - 60
60 New Members and $60,000

Thank you for your support of KCCU during our Spring
on-air membership campaign!

We're excited! 113 new members have joined the KCCU family, and we've raised about $57,200 to help pay for programming.

While our new member objective has been met, KCCU still needs to raise another $2,800 to meet our objective to partially pay for programming costs.

The good news is there is still time for you to pledge your support.  Consider becoming a new or renewing member today.  You can make your pledge now by clicking here.

Become a new or renewing member, and help KCCU prosper well into the future!

Again, thank you for your generous pledges of support, and for continuing to be valuable members of the KCCU family.

Sincerely,

The Staff of Your Public Radio Station, KCCU

Governor's Award of Excellence

KCCU HONORED WITH GOVERNOR'S AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Lawton, OK— KCCU, Cameron University's public radio service, was recently named as the 2007 Outstanding Broadcast Media Outlet in Oklahoma by Governor Brad Henry.   The "Governor's Disability Employment Award of Excellence" was accepted in Oklahoma City by former KCCU General Manager Mark Norman.

KCCU was nominated for the award by Sunshine Industries of Ardmore. The award was based on KCCU's airing of public service announcements aimed at helping Oklahomans with disabilities find employment opportunities.

"This award from Governor Henry is a great honor for KCCU," said Ted Riley, General Manager of the KCCU network of stations.  "KCCU serves each community in our listening area with local announcements that provide vital information about area events, organizations, and service opportunities."

It's the second time in a decade that KCCU has earned the award.   The honor is given annually to a radio or television station for outstanding public service to the communities the broadcast outlet serves.
